The future of Canadian industry will be on stage in Calgary this October, when CEOs from seven of the most funded Canadian cleantech companies ever appear at Energy Disruptors: UNITE 2024. Keynote presentations will come from the following leaders:
- John Redfern – President and CEO of Eavor
- Greg Twinney – CEO of General Fusion
- Amanda Hall – CEO of Summit Nanotech
- Claude Letourneau – President and CEO of Svante
- Damien Steel – CEO of Deep Sky
- Chris Doornbos – President and CEO of E3 Lithium
- Apoorv Sinha – CEO of Carbon Upcycling
These seven companies represent a combined total of more than $1 billion invested to commercialize and scale revolutionary energy and climate solutions at scale.
Carbon Upcycling is a waste and carbon utilization company unlocking a new frontier of circular materials. Carbon Upcycling was the only Canadian company recognized by the World Economic Forum in its cohort of 2024 Technology Pioneers.
Deep Sky’s mission is to accelerate the path to low cost, low energy intensity and highly scalable carbon dioxide removal (CDR) to produce high integrity carbon credits. They recently selected a site in Alberta to build the world’s first carbon removal innovation and commercialization centre.
E3 Lithium is a trailblazing lithium development company unlocking Canadian lithium brines for the global EV market. Last month E3 Lithium partnered with Pure Lithium to advance the design of a lithium metal anode and battery pilot plant in Alberta.
Eavor is an advanced geothermal company commercializing green, baseload and dispatchable energy at scale. Earlier this year Eavor was named to the prestigious Global Cleantech 100 list and they followed that up with an investment from one of the oldest and largest construction companies in Japan
General Fusion is pursuing a fast and practical approach to commercial fusion energy. The Richmond, B.C.-based company recently secured a $20 million investment from Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) for their Lawson Machine 26 (LM26) program.
Summit Nanotech is pioneering advanced materials for global, sustainable lithium extraction to support the energy transition. Last year the company was included on LinkedIn’s annual Top Startups list and topped up its $14 million Series A financing round with an additional $50 million.
Svante is a leading carbon capture and removal solutions provider focussed on decarbonizing the global industrial sector. The Burnaby, B.C.-based company recently secured an investment of up to $137 million from the Canada Growth Fund.
Founded with the audacious goal of uniting the world’s boldest trailblazers to ‘accelerate global energy transition’, Energy Disruptors is now the fastest-growing energy summit in the world, attracting industry leaders and innovators, entrepreneurs, and futurists from the entire energy value chain.
Organizers Graeme Edge, Michelle Edge, Holly Ransom, and Rachel Maxwell debuted the conference in 2018 to boldly address the opportunities and challenges presented by the energy transition, challenge assumptions, facilitate connections with unlike minds, and empower delegates to lead with creativity and courage.
