A Vancouver-based company understands that widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) depends heavily on the availability of charging infrastructure.
North Vancouver’s Hypercharge Networks offers turnkey solutions for multi-unit residential and commercial buildings, fleet operations, and other sectors to support the growing demand for EV charging.
“Mixed-use residential buildings are quickly recognizing the potential benefits of having EV charging on site, especially in urban areas where EVs are gaining popularity,” said Chris Koch, Head of Growth and Partnerships at Hypercharge, last year.
In 2023, Hypercharge expanded into the U.S., and its stations are now available across North America, including several states and most Canadian provinces.
In British Columbia, Hypercharge continues to collaborate with local partners, including real estate developers. A recent partnership with Dawson + Sawyer will bring EV charging infrastructure to multiple upcoming projects in Surrey.
“Helping new Dawson + Sawyer homeowners switch to electric vehicles is key to making our communities greener,” Koch stated this month. “This partnership enables Hypercharge to bring EV charging to two new communities, making the transition to sustainable transportation seamless and accessible for residents.”
Beyond residential projects, Hypercharge is also providing charging solutions for vehicle fleets. The company recently secured a $4 million order for fast-charging ports from a Western Canadian energy infrastructure provider.
“This expanded order shows the growing demand and confidence our partners have in Hypercharge’s ability to deliver reliable, large-scale charging solutions tailored to fleet needs,” said David Bibby, CEO of Hypercharge. “We’re proud to support the transition to fully electrified fleets by providing fleet operators and energy companies with the fast-charging infrastructure they need to meet their sustainability goals.”
Hypercharge is currently a Technology Impact Award finalist in the “Gamechanger: Climate Leadership” category.
