Foresight Canada has officially opened applications for its 2025 Cleantech Awards, spotlighting innovative ventures and ecosystem leaders driving economic growth and sustainability in British Columbia (BC), Alberta, and Atlantic Canada.
Since launching in 2020, the awards have recognized standout companies like Moment Energy, recently awarded $28.1 million by the U.S. Department of Energy, and Arca, a finalist in the XPRIZE Carbon Removal competition. Pangaea Ventures and the BC Centre for Innovation & Clean Energy (CICE) have also been honored for their significant climate impact.
With British Columbia leading the way in electric vehicle adoption, carbon capture, and renewable energy, the Cleantech Awards highlight the province’s continued leadership in clean technology innovation.
Alberta is solidifying its reputation as a cleantech powerhouse, driven by a surge of companies advancing clean energy solutions, carbon capture technologies, and sustainable resource management.
Meanwhile, Atlantic Canada is rapidly becoming a vibrant hub for cleantech, capitalizing on its rich natural resources and collaborative business environment. The region is making notable progress in wind, tidal, and solar energy, alongside cutting-edge developments in ocean-based technologies.
Nominations are open across five categories, including Startup and Scaleup Ventures of the Year and Funder of the Year. Applications are now being accepted online until February 20, 2025.
