Foresight Announces Finalists for 2025 BC Cleantech Awards

Foresight Canada has unveiled the finalists for the 2025 BC Cleantech Awards, recognizing companies and individuals driving innovation in British Columbia’s clean technology sector.

The annual awards celebrate achievements across multiple categories, showcasing the province’s leadership in sustainable innovation and clean technology advancements.

This year’s awards feature finalists in five categories:

Adopter of the Year

Recognizing organizations that have demonstrated leadership in integrating cleantech solutions into their operations.

  • Finalists: City of Vancouver, City of Vernon, Líl̓wat Forestry Ventures, Wheaton Precious Metals, Vancouver International Airport (YVR)

Cleantech Supporter of the Year

Honoring individuals and organizations that provide critical support to cleantech ventures through advocacy, policy, and ecosystem development.

  • Finalists: BC Hydro, City of Quesnel, Diana Gibson (Minister of Jobs, Economic Development & Innovation), Jill Earthy (InBC Investment Corp.), Zero Emissions Innovation Centre

Funder of the Year

Acknowledging investors and funding organizations that have made a significant impact on advancing cleantech innovation.

  • Finalists: Active Impact Investments, B.C. Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE), Evok Innovations, National Research Council Canada (NRC), Pacific Economic Development Canada (PacifiCan)

Scaleup Venture of the Year

Recognizing high-growth cleantech companies demonstrating significant market traction and impact.

  • Finalists: Arbios Biotech, Lucent Bio, Mangrove Lithium, Moment Energy, pH7 Technologies

Startup Venture of the Year

Highlighting early-stage cleantech innovators with strong potential for impact.

  • Finalists: Green Manganese, Lite-1, SkyAcres, TreeTrack, veritree

“British Columbia continues to lead in cleantech innovation, and this year’s finalists exemplify the groundbreaking work happening in the province,” said Foresight Canada CEO Jeanette Jackson. “These companies and individuals are tackling critical climate challenges and positioning BC as a global leader in sustainability.”

Winners of the 2025 BC Cleantech Awards will be announced at an in-person event on March 26, 2025 in Vancouver. Tickets are now available.
