The Canadian Hydrogen Convention is set to return to the Edmonton Convention Centre from April 22 to 24, 2025, marking its fourth year as Canada’s largest hydrogen exhibition and conference. More than 10,000 attendees are expected to gather for the three-day event, which serves as a crucial meeting point for senior leaders from government, industry, and Indigenous communities.
Co-hosted by Edmonton Global and Air Products, this year’s convention aims to advance Canada’s role in the global hydrogen economy by fostering strategic partnerships and aligning international efforts to meet rising hydrogen demand. With over 100 companies exhibiting and a slate of 200 expert speakers across both strategic and technical tracks, the convention will delve deep into the technologies and policies shaping hydrogen’s future.
“This year’s key themes are driving a very powerful and meaningful gathering in Edmonton,” said Nick Samain, Senior Vice President North America at dmg events. “The program is directly reflecting the key growth areas of unleashing a demand economy for hydrogen, growing and diversifying Canada’s international customer and investment base, and showcasing the game-changing technology that is innovating the next generation of the hydrogen sector.”
The strategic conference will focus on the geopolitical and economic forces driving hydrogen adoption globally. Attendees will explore infrastructure development, export strategies, and investment opportunities across Canada’s emerging hydrogen hubs. The technical program will highlight cutting-edge innovations poised to transform the industry.
The convention also includes an awards gala, sponsored by CPKC, recognizing the trailblazers who have propelled the hydrogen sector forward over the past year.
Billed as the only event of its kind in the country, the Canadian Hydrogen Convention underscores Edmonton’s growing status as a hydrogen hub and Canada’s commitment to achieving a low-carbon energy future.
