A Canadian company is harnessing the powers of artificial intelligence and digital twin technology to “unlock the hidden potential of industrial facilities.”
Calgary’s Drishya AI is focused on brownfield digitalization and decarbonization across Energy, Oil and Gas, Utilities and other process-oriented industries.
By creating a digital version of physical assets, Drishya enables industries to do predictive maintenance, reduce downtime, and increase operational efficiency, according to a statement from the upstart. This virtual representation allows real-time monitoring and optimization to reduce carbon emissions and footprint.
Drishya’s AI-powered solutions include “Artisan” and “Brains.”
Artisan simplifies engineering processes by converting paper-based P&IDs into smart, interactive CAD files. This tool can reduce time and resources by up to 90%, the company claims, enabling industries to adopt more efficient workflows.
Brains meanwhile is Drishya’s AI co-pilot, adding intelligence to industrial operations. It helps industries self-monitor, self-diagnose, and self-optimize, reducing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency.
The Pegasus Road startup was named to the latest Foresight 50, an annual ranking of investable cleantech companies across Canada.
“We are thrilled to be recognized and committed to our sustainability and innovation goals,” founder and chief executive officer Amardeep Sibia stated at the time of the honour.
It was not the first but rather the second time that Foresight recognized Drishya, having previously highlighted the startup in Foresight 50’s inaugural year of 2021.
“We are incredibly honoured to be recognized again as one of Canada’s top cleantech ventures,” Sibia continued. “This recognition reflects our team’s dedication to developing innovative AI solutions that help industries reduce emissions and achieve sustainability goals.”
Sibia founded Drishya alongside chief business officer Aman Brar in 2019. In addition to headquarters in Calgary, Drishya also holds an office in Bengaluru, India.
