Hypercharge Launches New Smart EV Charger for Multi-Unit and Commercial Sites

May 14, 2025 by Newsdesk

Vancouver-based Hypercharge Networks unveiled its newest electric vehicle charging station today at the EV & Charging Expo 2025, introducing the Hypercharge Halo™, a next-generation Level 2 charger designed for residential, commercial, and workplace environments.

Billed as a flexible and durable charging solution, the Hypercharge Halo offers scalable charging power, universal EV compatibility, and a streamlined installation experience. The new charger is now available for order across North America.

“Property owners are looking for charging solutions that combine smart design with long-term value,” said David Bibby, President and CEO of Hypercharge. “Hypercharge Halo is designed with durability, flexibility, and reliability at its core, making it easy to integrate EV charging into residential and commercial spaces, today and into the future.”

The Halo supports adjustable power output from 16 to 48 amps and delivers up to 11.5 kW of charging power—suitable for overnight residential or daytime workplace use. A standout feature is its circular LED “halo” indicator, which provides drivers with real-time charging status at a glance.

Designed with multiple activation options—including RFID, QR code, mobile app, and Eevion™—the unit is compatible with all EV models, offering both SAE J1772 and North American Charging Standard (NACS) connectors. Each charger ships pre-configured to Hypercharge’s network specifications to streamline deployment.

In addition to performance, the company is emphasizing sustainability. The Halo ships in fully recyclable packaging and is designed for modular servicing in the field, helping reduce long-term maintenance costs and environmental impact.

With its compact, impact-resistant form and IP65 water and dust protection rating, the Hypercharge Halo is built to operate reliably in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Hypercharge Networks, known for its smart EV charging infrastructure across Canada and the U.S., continues to expand its presence as demand for residential and workplace EV charging grows.
