Foresight Canada has launched a new season of its Cleantech Forward podcast, spotlighting the innovations and challenges shaping the future of clean transportation in British Columbia.
Hosted by Foresight CEO Jeanette Jackson—recipient of the YWCA Women of Distinction and BIV Influential Women in Business awards—the season dives into key issues driving mobility transformation and the decarbonization of the province’s transportation sector. Each episode features candid conversations with innovators, industry leaders, and early adopters committed to scaling sustainable solutions.
“We’re thrilled to bring these important conversations to the public,” said Jackson. “British Columbia is a hub of cleantech innovation, and this podcast showcases the incredible work being done to decarbonize transportation. Our goal is to entertain listeners and inspire action and collaboration to accelerate the transition to a more productive, sustainable future economy.”
The new season explores critical themes such as shared EV charging infrastructure, alternative fuels, the electrification of heavy-duty vehicles, and decarbonization strategies for ports and shipping. It marks a continued effort by Foresight Canada to support the growth and adoption of cleantech solutions through public engagement and collaboration.
The first two episodes are now available. In Episode 1, The Future of EV Charging Infrastructure, Jackson speaks with Randy Zadra of Foresight’s BC Net Zero Innovation Network and David Agosti from Simon Fraser University about expanding EV charging capacity across the province.
Episode 2, Electrifying Public Fleets, explores the shift to electric service vehicles in municipalities. Guests include Tauseef Waraich from the City of Burnaby and Rob Safrata of Fuse Power Management, who share insights on pilot programs, policy hurdles, and the emerging role of vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology.
Jennifer Smith, CEO of Everything Podcast, emphasized the broader impact of the series. “The shift to clean transportation is one of the most pressing challenges of our time—and it’s about more than innovation. It’s about securing a healthier, more sustainable future for the generations that follow.”
