A longstanding multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm based out of Quebec is launching new services related to sustainability and decarbonization.
Laval’s CIMA+ this month unveiled the opening of a new Consulting and Strategic Advisory Services department with a specific focus on climatech solutions.
The move comes “in response to the challenges posed by climate change,” according to a statement from the firm, which now claims to provide “strategic support from the earliest stages of projects to help organizations improve their resilience and build a more sustainable future.”
“Every organization has climate ambitions and needs to plan for the future,” explains Anaïssia Franca, who will head Consulting and Strategic Advisory Services for Sustainability and Decarbonization at CIMA+.
CIMA’s mission, says Franca, “is to translate these [needs] into pragmatic, ambitious action plans that are tailored to their reality.”
The company already boasts a history in the clean energy sector, having worked on more than 400 hydroelectric dams, as well as wind, solar, and geothermal projects.
“That’s what we do,” Franca says. “[We] catalyze the ecological transition, with and for our clients and partners across Canada.”
Targeting both public and private sectors, the new service oriented around three areas of expertise: Climate change mitigation and adaptation; Protection and enhancement of water resources; and Transportation decarbonization.
“This new service is part of our vision for growth and allows us to continually push the boundaries of consulting engineering to offer our clients comprehensive and personalized support,” stated Steeve Fiset, Chief Strategy Officer at CIMA+.
“By strengthening our capacity to respond strategically, we are cementing CIMA+’s position as a leader in sustainable innovation in Canada,” he continued.
Founded in 1990, CIMA+ employs over 3,500 people across 40 offices throughout Canada.
