British Columbia’s innovators in the energy and climate technology sectors are invited to apply for the B.C. Centre for Innovation in Clean Energy (CICE)’s February 2025 Call for Innovation. This funding opportunity aims to accelerate the commercialization of breakthrough solutions in energy and climate technologies with non-dilutive investments.
The program will prioritize projects aligned with four key areas of innovation:
- Low Carbon Bio and Synthetic Fuels – Innovations in synthetic fuel production, advanced biofuels, and biocarbon products such as biochar, bio-oil, and syngas.
- Battery and Energy Storage – Solutions that enhance battery performance, sustainability, and safety.
- Low Carbon Hydrogen – Technologies promoting hydrogen end-use, reducing risks related to hydrogen adoption, and stimulating demand for the fuel.
- Carbon Management – Technologies aimed at mitigating, preventing, and suppressing wildfires, all while addressing broader carbon management goals.
CICE is focused on identifying high-impact projects that will play a significant role in reducing global greenhouse gas emissions while driving industry transformation. The centre is committed to helping B.C. innovators scale their solutions to global markets, ultimately fostering both climate and economic prosperity.
An informational webinar will be held on February 18, 2025, providing further details about the application process and eligibility criteria.
For innovators eager to make a difference in the fight against climate change, this opportunity offers the chance to advance their solutions and contribute to a sustainable future.
