Foresight Canada has unveiled Earth Tech: Adapt, a nine-month accelerator program designed to accelerate climate adaptation technologies across key sectors, including agriculture, forestry, infrastructure, energy, and water management.
As climate risks intensify, industries and municipalities face mounting pressure to enhance resilience. According to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and the Insurance Bureau of Canada, Canada will need to invest $5.3 billion annually in climate adaptation—yet every $1 spent today can save $6 in future losses.
Earth Tech: Adapt aims to bridge this gap by supporting cleantech innovators with expert mentorship, industry partnerships, and fundraising assistance.
The program will help scale high-impact solutions in areas such as wildfire mitigation, flood prevention, and grid resilience, fostering commercialization and widespread adoption.
“Climate adaptation is no longer a future concern—it’s a present necessity,” said Brittany Goldhawke, Director, Earth Tech and Investor Relations at Foresight Canada. “Earth Tech: Adapt is bridging the gap between innovation and impact, ensuring the solutions we need to build resilient communities and industries are developed, scaled, and adopted today.”
