Resource Works has officially launched the Innovation Forum video series, a new platform aimed at spotlighting groundbreaking advancements in Canada’s natural resource and cleantech sectors.
The first season is made possible through the sponsorship of Foresight’s BC Net Zero Innovation Network, a leader in driving sustainable industry solutions.
Hosted by public policy expert and commentator Margareta Dovgal, the Innovation Forum will feature in-depth interviews with industry leaders and experts shaping the future of resource development and clean technology. The series aims to showcase high-impact innovations while inspiring career-seekers to explore opportunities in these rapidly evolving fields.
“Innovation is happening all around us, often in ways that aren’t immediately visible,” said Dovgal. “This series is about showing Canadians and the world how innovation is changing our economy—and we hope it will empower more people to pursue meaningful careers in these sectors.”
The first season includes over 25 interviews filmed at key industry events in early 2025, including the BC Natural Resources Forum in Prince George and AME Roundup in Vancouver. Featured guests include Derek Nighbor of the Forest Products Association of Canada, Nancy Norris from the BC Ministry for Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation, and Chamirai Nyabeze of the Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation.
With its sponsorship, Foresight’s BC Net Zero Innovation Network underscores the vital role of cleantech in advancing a low-carbon economy.
“Now more than ever, Canada’s resource sector needs innovation to work smarter, not harder,” said Kylie Williams, Regional Director, BC at Foresight Canada. “This partnership with Resource Works allows us to amplify stories of sustainability and technological progress that will shape the industries of tomorrow.”
The Innovation Forum series is accessible to a broad audience, including industry professionals, policymakers, students, and the general public. Episodes will be available on Resource Works’ YouTube channel.
