During the Global Energy Show Canada 2025 in Calgary from June 10 to 12, Triple Point Resources will be showcasing its pivotal role in Canada’s clean energy transition. The company’s flagship project, the Fischells Salt Dome, located in Newfoundland and Labrador, is positioned to become Canada’s first large-scale hydrogen storage hub.
The innovative underground project supports hydrogen production, storage, and export, establishing Canada as a global leader in the hydrogen economy.
“Fischells Salt Dome is more than just a project — it’s Canada’s answer to how we transform world-class renewable resources into secure, bankable energy for decades to come,” says Julie Lemieux, CEO of Triple Point. “This is a unique opportunity for Canada to lead in scalable hydrogen storage with a project that simultaneously strengthens energy security, supercharges renewable energy projects, supports decarbonization, and drives regional prosperity.
Located in one of the world’s premier wind corridors, the Fischells Salt Dome will provide a critical clean energy reserve, capturing excess renewable energy and transforming surplus wind power into dispatchable energy. The project is key to advancing Canada’s federal net-zero strategies, providing a blueprint for how the country can position itself as an energy superpower.
Triple Point will also be represented at the energy conference by CFO Corran Hockey who will be speaking on “Power & Hydrogen Storage: Unlocking Salt Cavern Potential.” His presentation will dive into the significant potential of salt cavern energy storage and its ability to support renewable energy integration and grid stability.
As the energy sector continues to innovate in storage technologies and decarbonization efforts, Triple Point’s Fischells Salt Dome project is leading the way in providing safe, scalable solutions for the future of clean energy.
