GeologicAI has joined Creative Destruction Labs Minerals program as a partner.
The Calgary-based provider of technology to the global critical minerals industry made the announcement at CDL Super Session 2025.
Critical minerals companies rely on GeologicAI technology to make better resource decisions faster; the Canadian company’s novel AI-powered system uses a combination of advanced sensors to capture and enhance critical data onsite in real-time.
“At GeologicAI we are passionate about driving a sustainable future for Critical Minerals,” says chief executive officer Grant Sanden.
GeologicAI graduated from CDL’s Rockies Energy Stream in 2019 and now returns as a partner to help shape the next generation of mineral innovation, according to a statement from the Alberta entity.
“We are truly grateful to the powerful role CDL and its incredible mentors played in our trajectory,” said Sanden.
“We are honoured to play our small part in supporting CDL as it expands this unique value in the area we care most about,” he added.
GeologicAI joins CDL Minerals partners Vale, BHP, Seequent, and Fasken, among others.
“GeologicAI’s return as a partner highlights the strength of the Energy Stream’s alumni and the lasting impact of CDL mentorship,” stated Heather Marshall, Site Lead of CDL-Rockies.
“We’re excited to see their continued success translate into deeper engagement within the CDL network,” she said.
Launched at CDL-Vancouver through the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business in 2023, CDL Minerals brings together scientists, founders, and mentors to accelerate the commercialization of transformative solutions in the mineral sector.
Recent graduating ventures include Eion, Geoproc, and TerraBase.
Founded by Professor Ajay Agrawal in 2012 at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, Creative Destruction Lab is a nonprofit organization that delivers an objectives-based program for scalable seed-stage technology-based companies.
The nine-month program has expanded to 13 sites across seven countries: Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, Halifax, Paris, Madison, Seattle, Estonia, Berlin, Melbourne, College Station, and Milan.
Applications for the next CDL Minerals cohort are now open.
