After seven years of leadership, Jeanette Jackson is stepping down as CEO of Foresight Canada, marking a new chapter for the country’s leading cleantech accelerator.
Jackson will continue to serve on Foresight’s board and act as a strategic advisor, leveraging her deep institutional knowledge to guide the organization’s mission of helping the world do more with less, sustainably.
“Leading Foresight for the past seven years has been the highlight of my career,” said Jackson. “The achievements of this mandate, team, and network of partners have been extraordinary, laying the foundation for Canadian cleantech to future proof the world’s important sectors.”
Jackson was recently named to Business in Vancouver’s BC500 which recognizes the most influential business leaders making a notable impact on BC’s economy, industries, and communities. Jackson’s next venture has yet to be announced, but she emphasized her continued support for Foresight’s work and community. “The future of Foresight is bright,” she added.
Succeeding Jackson as Interim CEO is David Sanguinetti, who previously served as Foresight’s Vice President of Technology and most recently as Chief Operations Officer. With over 25 years of industry experience and a track record of driving technology adoption across five continents, Sanguinetti is well-positioned to lead the organization through its next phase of growth.
“I am humbled and excited to build upon the remarkable foundation Jeanette Jackson and our team has laid,” said Sanguinetti. “This organization’s mission is close to my heart, and in collaboration with our exceptional team, I plan to work diligently with our valued industry and public-sector partners to create a more productive, efficient, and resilient economy, powered by cleantech.”
Sanguinetti’s personal commitment to sustainability mirrors his professional values. At home in Vancouver, he has adopted passive home technology, drives an electric vehicle, and prioritizes low-emission transportation.
Supporting him is a nationally distributed executive team:
- Amanda Lo, Vice President of Acceleration (Calgary)
- Heather Crochetiere, Vice President of Technology Adoption (Toronto)
- Michelle Pavlik, Vice President of Communications (Kelowna)
- Courtney Elliott, Senior Director of Partnerships (Calgary)
- Lisa Djakalovic, Director of Human Resources (Toronto)
- Vice President of Operations (to be announced)
With this strong leadership team in place, Foresight remains committed to accelerating and deploying cleantech at scale through strategic partnerships, market-driven programs, and data-backed research.
