Delta-based MATT Concrete is on a roll.
Last week clean-tech manufacturer was announced as a finalist for the 2026 Western Living Design awards and this week they are taking their ultra-light, low-carbon concrete innovation to national television, appearing on CBC’s Dragons’ Den on October 30 at 8 pm.
Founded by Randy and Colleen Orr, MATT Concrete has reimagined what concrete can be—lightweight, flexible, and environmentally responsible. The company’s signature products, including its new MATT FLEX line, combine the look and strength of concrete with ease of installation and a dramatically reduced carbon footprint.
“It’s nerve-wracking yet exciting to see the Dragons’ passion for innovation and investment,” said Randy Orr, co-founder and CEO. “We’re proud to showcase Canadian-made technology that pushes boundaries while helping to decarbonize construction.”
MATT’s decorative concrete panels are already being used by architects, designers, and builders across North America. The company recently earned attention for its feature in Matthew McCormack’s award-winning booth at the 2025 International Design Show in Vancouver, and its FLEX line is a finalist in the 2026 Western Living Design 25 Awards.
To mark the televised pitch, MATT will host a public viewing party at its Delta headquarters from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on October 30. Attendees can join staff, supporters, and media to watch the company’s moment in the Den and discuss the growing role of sustainable materials in construction.
