Swift Charge has completed a new wave of electric vehicle charging installations across Alberta and the Rocky Mountain region, expanding access to charging for travellers, residents, and hotel guests.
The Calgary-based EV charging provider announced that the new installations were completed with support from Alberta Municipalities through the Electric Vehicle Charging Program, which is designed to increase the availability of EV infrastructure across the province.
The newly equipped locations include Holiday Inn Express & Suites properties in Whitecourt, Drayton Valley, and Slave Lake; Super 8 by Wyndham Fox Creek; Comfort Inn Edmonton West; Jasper Inn & Suites; Travelodge Stony Plain; Banff Inn; Royal Canadian Lodge; Charltons Banff; and Mistatim Way Office in Edmonton.
Swift Charge said the projects strengthen its mission to build Canada’s largest hospitality-focused EV charging network, with a focus on providing reliable and convenient charging options along major travel routes, in gateway mountain towns, and in northern communities.
“This expansion reflects our continued commitment to supporting the future of sustainable travel,” said Sheldon Zhang, CEO of Swift Charge. “With the support of Alberta Municipalities and Natural Resources Canada, we’re able to bring charging infrastructure to key destinations where travelers need it most.”
The Electric Vehicle Charging Program is delivered by Alberta Municipalities with funding from Natural Resources Canada’s Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program.
Swift Charge operates one of Canada’s fastest-growing EV charging networks, with a focus on multifamily residential, hospitality, and other high-traffic public properties. The company provides turnkey EV charging solutions for property owners while supporting the broader transition to zero-emissions transportation.
