Cyclic Materials, the Toronto-based cleantech scaling rare-earth recycling infrastructure, has been named North America’s Company of the Year in the 2026 Global Cleantech 100 by Cleantech Group, following a major growth milestone that saw the company close an oversubscribed US$75 million Series C funding round — its largest to date.
The recognition was announced at an awards dinner during the opening evening of Cleantech Forum North America, where Cleantech Group celebrated leading innovators advancing global clean technology solutions. All Company of the Year recipients are selected from the Global Cleantech 100, an annual list spotlighting the world’s most promising private cleantech companies shaping a cleaner, more resilient future.
Cyclic Materials was recognized for its circular supply chain service platform that enables the recycling of critical metals—an increasingly strategic capability as governments and manufacturers seek to secure domestic sources of materials essential to electric vehicles, clean energy systems, and advanced manufacturing.
“These companies represent the very best of global cleantech innovation,” said Richard Youngman, CEO of Cleantech Group. “Their achievements prove that meaningful climate progress is not only possible—it’s happening, and it’s accelerating.”
The Company of the Year designation highlights Cyclic Materials’ growing role in strengthening critical mineral supply chains while reducing environmental impact through advanced recycling technologies. As demand for clean energy and electrification accelerates, solutions that recover and reuse scarce materials are becoming central to energy security and decarbonization strategies worldwide.
