Foresight Canada has unveiled the finalists for the inaugural Canadian Cleantech Awards, marking the first national program to recognize ventures, adopters, and ecosystem leaders accelerating the country’s transition to a net-zero economy.
The awards spotlight excellence across categories central to sustainable economic growth, including Venture of the Year, Adopter of the Year, and Cleantech Champion of the Year, alongside regional honours spanning the country. Selected from coast-to-coast nominations, this year’s finalists represent leading innovation in sectors ranging from carbon management to sustainable agriculture.
Winners will be announced May 13 at the Climate Innovation Zone during Web Summit Vancouver, delivered in partnership with NorthX Climate Tech, Innovate BC, Alacrity Canada, the Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (CRIN), and Simon Fraser University.
The national program builds on Foresight’s regional awards, which began with the BC Cleantech Awards in 2020 and later expanded to Alberta and Atlantic Canada. The new format unifies those efforts under a single national platform as Canada’s cleantech sector continues to scale.
“This year’s finalists represent an impressive array of technologies, leaders, ecosystem supporters, and investors driving a more resilient Canadian economy through innovation,” said David Sanguinetti, Interim CEO of Foresight Canada. “We’re proud to showcase their work on a global stage and look forward to announcing the winners at Web Summit Vancouver.”
